Key responsibilities
- Lead a small team, providing strategic direction with guidance from the Head of Actuarial
- Product ideation : finding innovative new ways to meet clients’ Group Risk needs or respond to legislative changes
- Develop and implement new Group Risk product solutions and product enhancements aimed at driving increased sales into target markets.
- Maintain the Risk product set by by understanding client requirements and adjusting product features appropriately.
- Facilitate Research, Marketing, Client and Competitor analysis on products, highlighting its performance and potential opportunities to ensure our products remain competitive.
- Collaborate with the Intermediary Support team to provide product support to our distribution partners.
- Collaborate with the wider group to implement solutions that span across business units
- Provide expert product guidance to other areas of the business, e.g. Servicing, Marketing or Technology.
Experience and qualifications
Qualified actuary5 - 10 years life insurance experienceGroup Risk experience preferred, especially in pricing or product developmentKnowledge and skills
Sound technical skillsExceptional communication skills – both verbal and writtenExcellent understanding of group insurance marketFirm grasp on key financial reporting metricsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong analytical and conceptual thinkingAbility to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlinesCore competencies
