Description

We are seeking a SACPCMP Registered Health and Safety Officer to join a leading construction organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to take responsibility for ensuring health safety and environmental compliance across designated construction projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
  • BSc / BA in Safety Management Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • SACPCMP Registration (essential).
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with the OSHACT and other legislation.
  • Conduct audits inspections and accident / incident investigations.
  • Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to on-site staff.
  • Review and approve subcontractor HSE files.
  • Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
  • Compile and submit weekly and monthly HSE reports / statistics.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety Officer role within construction.
  • Strong knowledge of health safety and environmental legislation and procedures.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials safe practices and safety management systems.
  • Excellent report writing data analysis and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
