Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Waitron to join the Food & Beverage team and deliver exceptional dining service to all guests. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a seamless, guest-focused experience while upholding the hotels luxury standards.

Critical Criteria (Requirements)

  • Minimum 1 year waitering experience in a hotel or restaurant environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards
  • Proactive, guest-first attitude
  • South African citizen with a valid ID

Key Competencies

  • Guest Service Excellence Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service; anticipate guest needs and ensure a memorable dining experience
  • Dining Room Operations Set up, maintain, and clear tables according to hotel standards; ensure cleanliness and presentation of all dining areas
  • Order Accuracy & Billing Accurately take orders, deliver food and beverages promptly, and process payments correctly
  • Teamwork & Collaboration Work closely with kitchen and bar staff; support colleagues during peak periods
  • Standards & Compliance Follow health, safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations; maintain professionalism and guest etiquette

    • Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve guests warmly and professionally
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tables and dining areas
  • Support smooth communication between kitchen, bar, and service staff
  • Assist team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service
  • Handle payments and billing accurately
  • Adhere to all hygiene, health, and safety regulations
  • Maintain grooming, professional appearance, and proper service etiquette
  • Uphold the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and Integrity
