Your duties could include but are not limited to :
Manage the full financial life cycle of multiple projects, from initiation to close-out
Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans in collaboration with project managers
Track project costs, identify variances, and perform cost-to-complete and profitability analyses
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and alignment with project milestones or percentage-of-completion methods
Process and reconcile project-related transactions, including supplier invoices, purchase orders, and timesheets
Support month-end and year-end close processes with project-specific financial data and reporting
Maintain project accounting records in compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and relevant legislation (e.g., IFRS, VAT Act)
Generate regular project financial reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics and risks
Liaise with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial inputs
Manage billing schedules, client invoicing, and collections related to project activities
Monitor and report on capital expenditure (Capex) and ensure proper asset capitalization
Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to project-related queries
Ensure compliance with tax requirements, including VAT treatment on project costs and billing
Continuously review processes for improvement opportunities and support financial governance across projects
Skills & Experience :
Degree and completed articles
Experience in a project-based industry such as Engineering, Construction, Renewables etc
Minimum 3 years minimum in a similar role
Qualification :
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles or CIMA qualification
