Our client, a highly respected company in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Information Governance Specialist for a two‑year contract role.
This is a strategic opportunity to lead the design and implementation of governance frameworks that ensure secure, compliant, and value‑driven information use across a complex organisation.
You will play a key role in developing and executing information governance strategies, establishing policy and process frameworks, enabling organisational awareness, and embedding governance practices into day‑to‑day operations — including support for AI governance initiatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 8–10 years of professional experience in data management or information governance
- Strong knowledge of governance maturity models and best practices, ideally within financial services or regulatory environments
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders and drive cultural change around information use and security

Conduct maturity assessments of information governance and security across the organisationDevelop and implement governance standards, processes, and procedures aligned to strategic objectivesUpdate and maintain tools and methodologies supporting the information strategyFacilitate information sharing agreements, classification alignment, and vetting protocolsEmbed governance practices into business processes, project lifecycles, and analysis frameworksDefine and track metrics to monitor governance effectiveness and support complianceBuild organisational capability through training, enablement, and stakeholder engagementGuide integration of AI governance into broader information governance processesSupport remediation efforts and provide ongoing advisory services across business unitsContribute to the development of artefacts such as data dictionaries, glossaries, catalogues, and lineage#J-18808-Ljbffr
