Job descriptionIgnition Perspective / Vision AVEVA System Platform / InTouch Citect SCADA Sepasoft MES (Batch, Tracking, OEE) Canary Historian, Flow dashboards Profinet / Modbus TCP / RTU AS-i, IO-Link Managed Ethernet networks (VLANs, ring topologies) Telemetry & wireless comms (licensed & license-free radios) Flow, pressure, level, and analytical instrumentation PID loops, interlocks, sequencing, startup / shutdown logic Drive control (VSDs, soft starters, torque control) FAT / SAT execution Startup, tuning, performance optimisation Troubleshooting on live industrial systems Interaction with process, electrical, and mechanical teams Engineering degree / diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation 3–6 years’ experience implementing industrial automation solutions Strong Siemens or Schneider programming background Hands‑on SCADA development experience Solid understanding of industrial comms & networking Ability to read P&IDs, IO lists, and electrical schematics Valid driver’s licence + ability to travel Exposure to multi‑industry projects : Water, F&B, Pharma, Industrial Architect, design, and implement complete control solutions Work with peers who understand good engineering standards Build real‑world systems — not cookie‑cutter projects Architecture freedom with strong technical guidance Access to Ignition Gold, Sepasoft Gold, Siemens certifications Culture that values precision, ownership, and continuous improvement
INTEG is scaling up our engineering capacity and looking for three technically strong Control Systems Engineers (3–6 years) to join our Somerset West team.
If you want exposure to complex PLC architectures, multi-site SCADA systems, advanced telemetry, and MES / BATCH platforms , this is the role.
Technical Scope of Work
You will work across the full automation lifecycle :
PLC & Edge Control
- Siemens S7-1200 / S7-1500
- Schneider M340 / M580
- TIA Portal (v17+)
- Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert
- Modular, distributed IO architectures (ET200SP, TM3, etc.)
SCADA, HMI & MES
Industrial Networks
Instrumentation & Control
Commissioning & Field Work
