The Industrial Sector may include : 1) Factory & Process Automation (e.g., Food & Beverage, Automotive, Petrochemical, etc.) or 2) Power & Renewables (e.g., Solar, Power Plants, BESS, etc.). You will report to the Sales Manager, working closely with the Sales & Tech Support team to provide professional services to existing and new clients (such as engineers) within the industrial automation market.
Overview
Role : Outside Sales Representative in the industrial automation market, focused on delivering sales services and product support solutions to clients in factory & process automation and power & renewables sectors. Location : Cape Town area; Travel to client sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide sales services and product support solutions to the industrial automation industry.
- Deliver excellent and innovative sales & support services, communications, consulting and technical sales solutions across a range of specialised, ruggedised products for client applications.
- Grow the existing database and generate new leads.
- Build strong customer relationships with dedicated efficient sales, successful solutions, and administrative services.
- Manage tenders & projects from conception to completion.
- Maintain and update the CRM system.
- Travel to client sites for assessments and presentations.
- Promote and support efficiency, service improvement, and specialised dedicated support for the company and its customers.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and external calls & meeting targets; participate in weekly sales meetings.
- Collaborate with peers to contribute to a growing team; report to and work closely with the Sales Manager.
- Stay updated with product and industry innovations.
Experience, Qualifications, & Skills
3–5 years of successful external sales experience within a similar industry, with experience providing engineering / technical sales support solutions (references available).Sales / background in Engineering, Networking, Electrical industrial automation, or plant automation solutions; may hold an unfinished electrical engineering qualification or relevant industry experience (advantageous).BCom / Electrical or similar (Advantageous).CISCO / CCNA / N+ (Advantageous).Basic knowledge of SAP software (training provided).CRM experience; MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for presentations.Requirements
Selling, designing, supporting, and implementing industrial automation applications and solutions.Own reliable car and valid driver’s license (Code B; PDP license advantageous).Resides in the Cape Town area (approx. 10 km radius).Ability to work under pressure; willingness to travel and consult as needed.Complete training requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
