Head Chef – Luxury Wine Estate | Franschhoek
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an accomplished and innovative Head Chef to lead the culinary team at a prestigious luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a passion for fine dining, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to deliver world-class cuisine in a refined setting.
Package :
Salary : R50,000 – R60,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
Live-out position
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation
Design and execute seasonal menus showcasing local and sustainable ingredients
Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to maintain excellence and consistency
Manage stock control, costings, and supplier relationships
Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and health regulations
Collaborate with management on menu concepts, special events, and guest experiences
Maintain operational efficiency while fostering creativity and innovation in the kitchen
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Head Chef in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment
Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques and menu development
Ability to perform under pressure and maintain high standards at all times
Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences that reflect the estate’s identity
