Motion Designer

Ogilvy is looking for a Motion Designer, the candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality animations and motion graphics for various advertising projects across digital, social media and on air platforms. The role involves producing animations for DOOH (digital out-of-home), social media, digital banners, and other advertising assets. Additionally, the candidate will occasionally edit videos and integrate animations into them. While 2D animation and video editing will most likely be the primary focus, the ability to integrate 3D renders of products and animate them is a big plus.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Passionate about motion graphics.
• Design and create engaging animations for various advertising assets, including DOOH, social media, and digital banners.
• Animate shapes, text, logos, images and other graphics elements to create compelling visual stories.
• Implement creative transitions and effects to enhance the visual appeal of the final output.
• Edit videos and integrate animations and transitions into them as required.
• Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, and other team members to bring concepts to life.
• Ensure all animation work aligns with brand guidelines and project requirements.
• Optimize animations for different platforms and devices, focusing on quality and performance.
• Keep up with industry trends and emerging animation techniques to continuously improve the quality of work.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality animations.
• Provide feedback and guidance to art directors and team members as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Experience in motion graphics / animation, preferably in the advertising industry,
• content/entertainment industry and/or for FMCG brands.
• Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of animation work, including experience with various multimedia formats such as DOOH, social media, and digital banners and more.
• Solid understanding of video editing and ability to integrate animations into videos.
• Developing timing and pacing of motion, based on audio requirements.
• Excellent creative abilities with attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Ability to adapt to various brand tones / brand personalities.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling and animation software such as Blender, Cinema
• 4D, or similar tools is a plus.
