Turbine Plant - Mechanical

Minimum requirements :

• Oversee turbine overhauls, repairs, and condition monitoring
• Conduct vibration analysis, balancing, and alignment of rotating machinery
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Manage mechanical integrity and energy efficiency projects
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO 9001, ASME)
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years post ECSA registered
• SAQA verified qualifications
• 10+ years in turbine operation, maintenance, or project environments
• Background in power generation or large mechanical plant environments
• Advanced knowledge of turbines, compressors, and rotating equipment
• Strong project management and analytical abilities.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Turbine operations and overhauls (steam and gas turbines)
• Alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis
• Rotating machinery diagnostics and predictive maintenance
• Familiarity with OEM standards (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
• Industry Background : Power generation (coal, gas, or renewable), and energy plants with rotating equipment
