JOB PURPOSE

Deliver Acoustics consultancy service to AESGs clients
Execution of projects
Primarily building Acoustics design with some environmental acoustics
Project management
Undertaking acoustic calculations
Room acoustic calculations and modeling
Environmental noise assessment and noise modeling
Developing acoustic design and specifications for building and infrastructure
Acoustic measurements, Acoustic report writing, Drawing production, mark-ups, sketches

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering or a Bachelors Degree or Post Bachelors qualification (Dip / Msc etc.) in Acoustics, Sound Engineering, Music Technology.

Software Experience : Environmental Acoustics such as Cadna or Soundplan Room Acoustics such as EASE, Odeon, CATT, Treble Autocad, SketchUp, Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign.

Generally, a minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience.

GENERAL EXPECTANCY

Significant experience and advanced competencies.

Able to work independently on complex tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with various clients to provide engineering advice and technical solutions on different projects.

Coordinating teams-where possible, preparing documentation, and developing project plans.

Participates and undertakes tasks that relate to the design and development phase of a project.

Writes reports, specifications and technical notes with reduced guidance and document overview.

Carries out calculations, develops system drawings and specifications.

Prepares drawing plans and undertakes markups to represent the acoustic strategy on drawings.

Undertakes environmental surveys and acoustic tests.

Engaging in the implementation and maintenance of the IMS and its processes and in achieving expected outputs.

Able to reply to technical client emails even at Schematic or Detail Design stages on case-by-case scenario.

Undertake research, further studies and CPDs in order to increase the academic knowledge and professional skills.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE BASE AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLSET

Time Management / Planning- Monitor progress and time taken to complete tasks to ensure tasks completion stays on track. Balance the time spent on activities, understanding and prioritising the urgency of tasks.

Industry Experience / Thought Leadership- Demonstrated industry experience on a wide range of related project types, proven ability to efficiently manage project deadlines.

Project Management / Operational Delivery- Ability to independently manage the delivery of smaller projects ($50k) in a client facing role. Strong knowledge of technical discipline with experience in executing previous projects to a high level of independence.

Leadership / Team Management Experience- Commence taking on elements of team management in sub projects. Demonstrable experience in managing a small team of 2 or more, on live projects, or mentoring junior team members / graduates.

Commercial Acumen / Business Development- Manage commercials on project delivery with support from more senior team members. Assist in creation and delivery of proposals.

Problem Solving / Decision Making- Coordinating tasks and solving specific problems within the areas of responsibility.

Employee Focus / Process Compliance- Actively coordinate efforts to enhance employee experience, such as planning and executing recognition programs, conducting surveys, and organising employee well-being initiatives. Identifies external regulations that can impact the organisation.
