Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg / Cape Town / Umhlanga. This role requires a seasoned recruitment professional with a proven track record of success in the South African market, who can drive our talent acquisition strategy and consistently deliver exceptional hiring outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Recruitment : Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from role briefing and sourcing through to offer negotiation and onboarding
  • Stakeholder Management : Partner with hiring managers and department heads to understand hiring needs, develop role specifications, and provide strategic recruitment guidance
  • Talent Sourcing : Utilise multiple sourcing strategies including job boards, LinkedIn, networking, headhunting, and referrals to build robust talent pipelines
  • Market Intelligence : Maintain deep knowledge of the South African talent market, salary benchmarks, and industry trends to advise on competitive positioning
  • Candidate Experience : Ensure a professional and engaging candidate journey that enhances our employer brand
  • Metrics & Reporting : Track and report on key recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, and achievement against monthly / quarterly targets
  • Compliance : Ensure all recruitment activities comply with South African labour legislation and Employment Equity requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in talent acquisition / recruitment within the South African market
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding recruitment targets and KPIs
  • Must have worked towards and achieved targets of 5x salary to cover desk cost (billing / revenue generation requirements)
  • Demonstrable commission earnings or performance-based incentive history (please provide evidence in application)
  • Strong understanding of South African labour legislation, EE requirements, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience recruiting across multiple levels from entry-level to senior management positions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly Advantageous

  • 360 recruitment experience (managing both client and candidate relationships)
  • International recruitment experience (cross-border hiring, understanding of global talent markets)
  • Experience in agency / RPO environments
  • Industry-specific recruitment expertise (please specify in application)
  • Track record of building talent pipelines and passive candidate networks
