LOCATION : Durban

Aero Support Force Durban (Pty) Ltd has a requirement for a detail-oriented physically fit and safety-conscious individual to fill a position as a Stock Controller. The role will be located in Durban.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Stock Controller will be responsible for the receipt storage inventory management and distribution of aircraft parts tools and materials in our warehouse facility. This role ensures accurate tracking compliance with SACAA and international aviation standards and seamless support for maintenance operations. Reporting to the Regional Head of Maintenance the ideal candidate is detail-oriented physically fit and committed to maintaining a safe organized environment.

• Receiving and Inspection : Unload incoming shipments of aircraft parts tools and supplies; inspect for damage accuracy and compliance with purchase orders and SACAA regulations. Record discrepancies and notify supervisors promptly.
• Inventory Management : Organize and store items in designated areas using FIFO (First In First Out) principles to prevent obsolescence. Conduct regular cycle counts full physical inventories and reconcile with system records to maintain 99% accuracy.
• Order Fulfilment and Picking : Pick pack and prepare orders for internal maintenance teams or global line stations based on requisitions. Ensure all shipments are labelled correctly including hazardous materials handling per DG regulations.
• Shipping and Dispatch : Coordinate outgoing shipments via air sea or ground transport including preparation of export documentation customs declarations and tracking. Collaborate with logistics partners for timely delivery.
• Safety and Compliance : Adhere to health safety and environmental (HSE) protocols including proper PPE usage and spill response. Support audits.
• Record Keeping : Update inventory systems with accurate data entries. Generate reports on stock levels usage trends and shortages to aid procurement decisions.
• Team Collaboration : Assist in training new staff maintain a clean and organized warehouse and communicate effectively with maintenance personnel procurement and external vendors.
