Reporting to the Senior Finance Director Commercial EMEA in the UK, this individual is a key business partner to the commercial teams, facilitating actionable insights, analytics, and sound decision-making that achieves the financial objectives of the business. This is a customer‑facing role with frequent interaction with the EMEA Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and key Global stakeholders.
This role provides executive‑level ownership of the commercial strategy and performance of the QSR segment, with a clear mandate to unlock long‑term value creation. It includes deepening strategic partnerships with global customers and expanding the portfolio to accelerate profitable growth, enhance customer diversification, and strengthen margin resilience. The role operates across multiple organisational levels and geographies, serving as a critical integrator of insight, strategy, and execution.
Scope of the Role
- Global Level – Serve as a senior commercial partner to the Global Commercial Directors for McDonald’s and Yum, shaping aligned global strategies in pricing, growth, and customer value. Lead global performance governance and customer reporting frameworks to ensure strategic alignment across regions and functions.
- EMEA Regional Level – Lead the consolidation and strategic analysis of commercial performance across McDonald’s, Yum, and QSR accounts throughout EMEA. Drive cross‑regional insights that inform leadership decisions and enable proactive performance management.
- European Market Level – Act as a senior strategic advisor to commercial and market leadership, driving initiatives to deliver on growth targets and margin expansion for existing QSR partners. Provide commercial direction and insight to support sustainable performance and long‑term customer value.
- QSR New Business Development – Own the strategic commercial agenda for new QSR customer acquisition and expansion across EMEA. Drive the identification, evaluation, and integration of new customer opportunities to diversify the QSR portfolio and de‑risk dependence on legacy global accounts. Serve as the commercial lead in cross‑functional growth initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, commercial viability, and long‑term scalability.
Main Responsibilities
Partner with the Commercial team to provide strategic direction and support commercial, operational and strategic business decisions.Provide key financial and business analysis relating to portfolio profitability and key reporting metrics, pricing strategies & decisions, sales performance analysis, innovation analytics, commercial scorecarding and interpretation of results, marketing & promotion decisions (including ROI), and SG&A analysis and investment decisions.Direct and oversee all pricing procedures, analysis, and development, including customer price negotiations and ensuring adequate controls over the customer contract / deal process in compliance with SOX and legal requirements.Direct the commercial forecast process and provide value‑added insights into operating results, identifying and supporting actions in conjunction with business partners to meet financial targets flexibly and agilely.Direct the coordination and preparation of the long‑term plan and annual budget process for the commercial areas; present plans to management, identifying focus areas and key drivers for profitable growth.Coordinate cross‑functional and regional / global COE teams to achieve aligned performance reporting and insights; drive reporting automation through TM1 / Data Lake / Power BI tools to accelerate speed of reporting and insights across EMEA.Drive alignment of customer pricing strategies globally for McDonald’s and Yum.Develop staff and build a successful team through active coaching, managing goals and objectives, aligning individual and organisational development, deploying resources, planning development opportunities, executing talent review processes, identifying future talent and capability needs, and prioritising talent for leadership programmes.Success Factors

Qualified accountant : ACA, CIMA or equivalent.BSc in Finance or Accounting.Significant commercial experience within large multinational business with a manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG).Strong finance experience with proven senior‑level financial planning / analysis, commercial finance or accounting.Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of financial and analytical techniques (including knowledge of critical business issues and interpreting their impact on financial results).Understanding of industry trends, including external and internal factors affecting the business.Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage teams.Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels and areas of the organization.Technical Knowledge and Experience
Partnered with the Business to support commercial, operational and strategic business decisions.Experience in management reporting, financial reporting, planning & internal control work, manufacturing cost and commercial accounting.Experience leading finance teams.Experience in a SOX environment.Experience with SAP.Sound knowledge of modern IT tools (Excel, Salesforce, Power BI).Effective at working capital management & treasury requirements.Business and Personal Competencies
