Job description

Key Responsibilities :

1. Cost Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, identifying trends and areas for cost reduction.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide actionable recommendations on cost-saving initiatives.

2. Inventory & Production Costing

  • Monitor and evaluate inventory costs, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Implement standard costing and ensure accurate product costing.
  • Support stock valuation and control processes.
  • 3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of cost budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and track cost performance against budgeted targets.
  • 4. Financial Control & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to cost accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing cost-related data.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.
  • 5. Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to streamline cost management processes.
  • Requirements :

  • Proven experience in cost accounting or similar financial roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with inventory management and production costing.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive process improvements.
