Job descriptionBalance sheet reconciliations — Review reconciliations and sign off; prepare certain reconciliations and follow up any reconciling items. Forecasts — Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly cash forecasts; prepare forecast reporting packs. Budgeting — Prepare annual balance sheet budget; prepare annual interest and depreciation budget; prepare budget reporting packs; monthly reporting pack. Intercompany and tax — Confirm all intercompany balances; prepare annual tax pack; review monthly tax information; VAT management. Financial reporting — Prepare monthly income statement; prepare monthly interest calculation; annual reporting and audit pack; annual statutory reporting and audit pack. Cash and banking — Manage EFT systems; manage cash and bank balance; cash forecast. Fixed assets — Maintain fixed assets register; process additions and disposals; manage capex projects vs approved capex and budget; arrange forward cover for capex imports; prepare monthly capex reporting. Creditors and procurement — Manage creditors clerks and supervisors; review all reconciliations for completeness and accuracy; ensure timely and accurate payments; raw material financing where needed. Loans and internal control — Ensure accurate monthly calculations of long and short term loans; maintain internal control for all areas of responsibility. Insurance and risk — Submit claims; liaise with insurance companies; review and follow up on audit findings; monthly Stats SA and SAGIS reporting. Other financial processes — Reconcile margin accounts; ensure all provisions and GRNs are completed; liaise with internal and external auditors as needed. Requirements
- 7-10 years relevant experience in a similar environment, 5 of which should be in a management capacity
- BCom (Hons) / CA
- Working knowledge on MS Office
- Working knowledge on Syspro / SAP
