Nurse Clinical Coordinator – Diabetes Educator

As the Nurse Clinical Coordinator – Diabetes Educator you provide specialist clinical care, advice and educational services for a client group with diverse and / or complex care requirements and contribute to the development of quality systems that support remote areas in the management of Diabetes and Vascular diseases. In addition, you will provide sound professional advice critical in dealing with issues related to assessment, planning, review, evaluation, and coordination of client care.
To be successful, you will be an accomplished Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience, well-developed clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills and proficiency in the understanding, application, analysis and interpretation of a professional body of knowledge. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage conflict and promote cooperation and well-developed appreciation of the social and cultural issues and sensitivities relating to providing health care in rural communities is essential. As the role services remote communities, you will be required to travel by 4 WD or light aircraft on a regular basis and stay in community for an number of days.
