Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to EOF for the delivery of EOF’s Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Outcomes Fund in South Africa.
- Support EOF’s team with engagements with implementing partners, assist in solving implementation challenges, and ensure smooth technical and operational delivery.
- Provide guidance on program policy alignment and integration of learning into broader systemic change.
- Support project implementation and delivery oversight; maintain timelines, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed.
- Contribute to quarterly milestone tracking, risk register updates, and preparation of governance and other required deliverables.
- Coordinate day-to-day grantee communication and coordination; track queries and issues; prepare bi-monthly grantee updates.
- Provide technical guidance ahead of working sessions with grantees and DBE counterparts on operational problem-solving (e.g., data, safeguarding, referrals for reporting violence / neglect against children).
- Conduct site visits to a sample of ELPs to monitor implementation, verify fidelity to design, gather feedback, and assess safeguarding systems; provide recommendations for safeguarding improvements and follow up on implementation.
- Draft internal technical notes and implementation guidance for EOF central team; compile routine inputs for EOF learning products and lessons capture.
- Support operational tasks including cost verification, travel planning, office management, and contracting support, in coordination with the Operations Analyst.
- Contribute to EOF’s annual programme delivery reporting by drafting implementation sections and mapping risks and delivery summaries.
- Assist in implementing an effective communications strategy and manage third-party service providers, including developing a communications calendar and asset tracker, and ensuring quality outputs.

(1) Education
University degree in International Development, Public Policy, Education, Business, Economics, Political Science, Finance or related field is required.
(2) Knowledge / Expertise / Skills
At least 5 years’ experience in project management and delivery.Ability to drive projects with timelines, workplans, budget trackers, and risk management.Experience with stakeholder engagement and management, ideally in the education sector in South Africa.Experience in project implementation in education, ideally with NGOs or other delivery organizations.Experience in directly leading people, projects, and teams.Prior experience with international organizations in development and donors in South Africa.Fluency in English is required.Desirable requirements
Experience with innovative finance, particularly outcomes funds, is desirable.Fluency in Sepedi, IsiZulu or IsiXhosa is desirable.Requirements :
