Job descriptionDegree or HND / HNC in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience in a senior engineering role within a healthcare or similar critical environment. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance standards, and risk management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience managing budgets and external contractors.
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our hospital's engineering services and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital's engineering and maintenance team.
- Develop and implement planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Oversee reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Support infrastructure projects, refurbishments, and equipment installations.
- Manage engineering budgets and procurement of maintenance services and supplies.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department.
- Ensure all engineering systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely.
