Overview
Stellenbosch University Choir (Post Level 9) at Stellenbosch University – three-year full-time fixed-term appointment (Stellenbosch Campus).
Responsibilities
- Providing direct support to the SU Choir conductor.
- Providing direct support to the student representative committee of the SU Choir.
- Managing the day-to-day communication with choristers.
- Managing bookings and venue arrangements on behalf of the SU Choir.
- Piling the annual events calendar for the choir.
- Taking responsibility for planning, organising and coordinating local and national events on behalf of the SU Choir.
- Taking primary responsibility for planning, organising and coordinating international tours on behalf of the SU Choir.
- Managing the annual budget of the SU Choir.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in performing arts, arts administration, or events management.At least three to five years' experience in arts administration, event / project management, or similar roles.Proven artist management experience.Excellent and proven written and verbal communication skills.Budgeting, reporting and proposal writing skills.Strong organisational, planning and problem‑solving skills.Experience in coordinating large groups or student organisations.Experience in marketing or communications.Recommendation : A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.Exposure to tour or travel coordination.Knowledge of recording and production processes and understanding of social media income potential and online monetisation will be advantageous.Application Process
