SUMMARY : POSITION INFO :

ASSISTANT SPA MANAGER - Hotel Spa

HOEDSPRUIT - Limpopo (ZA)

START : ASAP / 01 September 2024

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS

  • Monday – Sunday
  • 09 : 00 - 18 : 00 including lunch break
  • Must be able to work weekends & all major holidays as per the hotel's operation
  • 7-8 days off per month

REPORT TO : Spa Manager

REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS :

  • R18,000-00 per month Gross
  • 10% Commission earned from R1+
  • Staff meal on duty
  • Medical Insurance contribution (Discovery / single application status only)
  • Provident Fund contribution

    • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • South African citizen / permitted for employment in SA (refugee / work permit)
  • Own, reliable transport preferred
  • Ability to work shifts & weekends as required (early & late)
  • Beautifully groomed and professionally presented - you are an advertisement for the Spa & Beauty industry
  • Fit & healthy to perform several treatments a day

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum 2-year Diploma in Somatology / Cosmetology / Spa Therapy / Beauty Therapy
  • City & Guilds / ITEC / CIDESCO / CIBTAC / SAAHSP etc.

    • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • At least FIVE years spa industry experience post-graduation (not student hours)
  • Cruise ship employment experience highly beneficial
  • ESP or similar Spa software experience
  • Senior Therapist experience or assistant managerial experience / day spa manager experience
  • Hotel spa / Lodge experience preferred

    • SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Ability to pleasantly and confidently communicate in English with appropriate grammar (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Ability to provide legible communication
  • Able to train staff on spa protocols and follow up on company brand trainings
  • Ability to give timely and excellence spa services at all time including (but limited to) : Body Care, Skin Care and Beautifying
  • Knowledge of spa procedures and trends
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs
  • Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of and ability to sell spa products
