Responsibilities
- Sets standards for GHG pharmaceutical services at group level, including ensuring compliance to relevant external regulatory bodies.
- At hospital level, prepares, compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceuticals.
- Maintains all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges and inventory.
- Consults with medical staff regarding prescriptions, orders, drugs and pharmaceutical.
- Maintains detailed patient reactions, errors and complaints.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
A relevant pharmaceutical qualification (B. Pharm Degree or Dip. Pharm)3-5 years\' relevant experience1 years\' experience as a Responsible PharmacistEnsure the effective management of the Pharmacy per the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) and the Good Pharmacy Practice in South AfricaEnsure the Pharmacy compliances with the SAPC, Department of Health (DOH) and other statutory and legal requirementsDrive a system of incident reporting, identify negative trends and implement corrective actionEnsure the establishment of and drive antimicrobial stewardship programs in the hospitalEnsure compliance to company policies and processesManage and advice the delivery of cost-effective quality patient pharmaceutical care in the hospital environmentImplement and monitor relevant processes according to quality standards, policy and regulationsEnsure the alignment, adherence and implementation of end-to-end standard operating proceduresCollate and address pharmacy related incident reports, complete root cause analysis and where relevant, provide staff with training and collaborate with the clinical staff to implement operational changes promoting safetyIdentify and address patient concerns in a systemic, proactive and timely manner and complete follow ups as necessary.#J-18808-Ljbffr
