Junior Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a Junior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

This role is based in Centurion.

Key Responsibilities :

• Match invoices to requisitions purchase orders and goods received notes ensuring alignment in quantity quality and price.
• Confirm that all procurement documents are correctly authorised according to the companys policy.
• Accurately process invoices using the correct GL and vendor accounts ensuring correct VAT treatment.
• Maintain daily cash flow forecasts and perform daily bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit creditors reconciliations and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Process and manage all supplier documentation and vendor maintenance on the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean and accurate age analysis and ensure that inter-company loan balances are correct.
• Reconcile creditors to external statements and process payments on ERP.
• Process and reconcile credit card debit card and petrol card statements.
• Perform journal entries and assist with ad hoc finance duties.
• Verify weekly fuel claims and manage staff loans in line with the companys policy.
• Action and verify travel requests.
• Reconcile stock payments and manage customs / freight invoices.
• Process forex payments and monthly forex journals.
• Liaise with banks and handle related queries and documentation.
• Assist with monitoring and calculating salary increases.
• Capture and process both local and foreign supplier invoices and income.
• Perform checks and balances on provident fund contributions.
