Senior Azure Data Scientist - Johannesburg - 1mil to 1.1mil per annum

A leading Information Technology and Business Consulting firm, providing specialized solutions to enterprises across the private and public sectors, are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their AI & Data Analytics Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions using Microsoft Azure. You will work with large datasets, build predictive models, and integrate advanced analytics into business operations.

Responsibilities :

• Set up and manage Data Lakes on Microsoft Azure.
• Ingest data from various sources, including sensors, databases, and logs, using Azure Data Factory or Azure Stream Analytics .
• Transform and prepare data to ensure high-quality input for machine learning models.
• Perform feature selection and data engineering to optimize model performance.
• Build, deploy, and refine predictive machine learning models on Azure.
• Monitor and maintain models, setting up alerts for anomalies and performance drifts.
• Integrate AI / ML insights into business applications to drive decision-making.
• Develop training materials and conduct sessions for IT and business users.
