Job descriptionProvide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnosis for adult and adolescent patients Deliver evidence-based treatment, including medication management and psychotherapy Supervise and support junior doctors minimally, ensuring quality of care Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient records Participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of current psychiatric practices
Minimum Requirements :
- Medical degree and full registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Completed specialization in psychiatry (for specialist level) or eligible to practice independently (for newly qualified)
- Experience with adult and adolescent psychiatric care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
