Job descriptionQualified Professional Accountant (SA) 1 – 3 years of post‑article experience Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and accounts preparation. Experience using accounting software such as Xero and Dext. Strong Excel and IT skills, with an aptitude for systems and process improvement. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines. Experience preparing accounts for a range of entity types (sole traders, partnerships, limited companies).

A well-established UK professional services firm that provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to legal professionals is looking for an Accounting Senior to join their team remotely from South Africa. The firm is known for its supportive work environment, focus on professional growth, and use of modern, cloud-based accounting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare working papers and year‑end accounts for sole traders.
- Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts; post entries into accounting software; complete bank reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT returns, including more complex cases requiring technical judgement.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies.
- Undertake project work requiring IT and technical expertise, including researching, reviewing, and implementing accounting solutions and internal controls to enhance performance.
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries promptly and professionally.
- Support senior team members with ad hoc assignments as required.
