SUMMARY
A leading aviation and geospatial technology organisation based in Pretoria North is looking for a hands‑on Procurement Specialist / Technical Buyer (Aviation & Electronics) to manage the sourcing, purchasing and control of aviation and electronic components for highly technical airborne operations. This individual will ensure full traceability, accurate stock management and compliance with aviation standards while working closely with engineering, electronics and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure aviation, electronic and technical components according to BOMs and specifications.
- Manage local and international suppliers, negotiate pricing and secure optimal lead times.
- Maintain full traceability of parts including certificates, serial numbers and GRN processes.
- Set up and manage a structured technical stores environment — shelving, barcoding, stock control and issuing of parts.
- Capture and track all stock movements on the inventory system (Aerotracks or similar).
- Handle shipping, customs and documentation for imports and exports.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, electronics, operations and logistics departments.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering or related field.3–5+ years’ experience in a technical buyer / procurement / stores role within aviation, electronics or a highly technical engineering environment.Strong understanding of technical drawings, BOMs and part numbers.Experience with ERP / inventory systems (Aerotracks advantageous).Imports / exports experience and exposure to international suppliers.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, technical aptitude and excellent stakeholder communication.Please apply directly by clicking on the apply button or visit for more exciting opportunities.
