WordPress Project Manager

Location : 100% Remote, Full Time, US Mountain Time

Working Hours : Monday to Friday; 7 : 00AM to 4 : 00PM US Mountain Time

Salary Range : USD 3,000-4,500 per month, commensurate with experience

About the Company : A leading NY- and DC-based WordPress web design agency looking to hire a remote, full-time project manager. The PM is responsible for the research, discovery, and planning phases of website projects. This experienced position requires deep knowledge of WordPress, website strategy, and an understanding of UX and design.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead website kickoff calls and client meetings in collaboration with the Project Management team
Identify client website objectives, current challenges, and recommend audience groups
Conduct website audits to recommend improvements in user experience, content strategy, and UI
Create and present wireframes, sitemaps, and content plans based on client intake, competitor analysis, and overall strategy
Collaborate with creative and PM teams on brand inspiration boards
Review and recommend client-supplied or internal copywriter content
Oversee content curation to ensure web-ready formatting and proper organization
Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to enhance client experience

Requirements

5+ years relevant professional experience (project management, UX design, UI design, content strategy)

Expert understanding of information architecture (site maps, navigation, etc.)

Deep experience in a client‑facing role and leading large meetings

Strong knowledge of WordPress (themes, plugins, system)

Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.

Strong organizational skills—project management experience or collaboration preferred

Front‑end design / development background that transitioned to project management is a strong fit

Client’s Note

We typically expect our PMs to manage around 40 projects simultaneously. These can include various project types, but we’re mainly looking for someone who can handle that workload with a focus on long‑term, premium support for semi‑technical to fully technical websites. We value strong client ownership, clear communication, process adoption, and follow‑through.
