Engineering workshop manager

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
• Conduct inspections and address any quality issues to ensure work meets the highest standards
• Lead and motivate a team to meet ETAs while still adhering to quality standards
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all workshop machinery
• Manage workshop resources effectively, including materials, tools, and personnel
• Implement and enforce protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Maintain communication channels with all team members
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the engineering industry
• Line boring and welding expertise
• Managing CNC machining operations, including programming, setup, and operation of CNC milling and turning machines.
• Strong understanding of EDGECAM software and its application in CNC programming
• A mechanical engineering qualification is preferred.
• Strong understanding and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and meets customer specifications
• Proficiency in operating different types of lathes (manual, CNC), understanding their functions, and performing routine maintenance
