SEO Strategist (Financial Services Focus)
We are a UK-based marketing agency specialising in the financial services sector. We help wealth management, advisory, investment, fintech and a host of other financial firms grow through intelligent, strategic marketing, content strategy, and digital performance.
The Role
This is not a maintenance role. We’re seeking someone who’s both a strategic thinker and hands‑on operator, capable of steering organic growth strategies for both our clients and our own website. You’ll be our in‑house authority on search – combining technical understanding with content strategy and thought leadership.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and lead advanced SEO strategies for our financial services clients and our own website.
- Integrate SEO with content marketing, driving topical authority, E-E-A-T, and on‑page quality rather than chasing vanity metrics.
- Stay ahead of AI‑driven search changes and proactively brief the business on best practices and opportunities in these key areas :
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) : Ensuring sites are technically sound, strategically targeted, and aligned with high‑intent user searches across platforms like Google and Bing.
- Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) : Structuring key content to surface in direct, AI‑generated answers.
- Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) : Positioning brands to be summarised, linked, or cited within generative search results and conversational interfaces.
- Artificial Intelligence Optimisation (AIO) : Making websites machine‑readable and semantically clear for large language models (LLMs) to understand, interpret, and reference accurately.
- Audit, optimise, and advise on content, architecture, and link profile development – always with integrity and strategic intent.
- Collaborate with account managers and writers, ensuring SEO insights shape campaign strategy and creative output.
- Report and communicate performance clearly, aligning recommendations with commercial goals rather than pure technical metrics.
- Lead continuous improvement, spotting innovation opportunities before they’re asked for.
