Job description

Overview

Our client is currently seeking a young, energetic, and physically fit candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment in the steel plant.
  • Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with guidance from experienced millwrights.
  • Participate in the routine inspection of machines to ensure they are functioning optimally.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support Factory Manager in the execution of various tasks and projects.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Attend and actively participate in training sessions and workshops.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certifications or coursework in mechanical / electrical fields is an advantage. (Red seal)
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and machinery.
  • Commitment to a career in the millwright trade.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
