PURPOSE OF THE JOB : To supervise and assist the team in the safe execution of all electrical activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :
- § OR Proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) AND NTC 2 (Recognised Trade Theory) qualification is essential
- Enrolled or Completed MV Modules / Training Program
- 5 years experience in a Winder / shaft environment is essential
- Working exposure as an Electrician or Foreman responsible for the following is essential :
- 6.6 kV and 525V switching operation
- Indoor and outdoor Substations and / or MCC equipment.
- Winders
- Project management and execution will be advantageous
- SAP experience will be advantageous
- Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
COMPETENCIES :
Knowledge of underground electrical reticulations essentialAbility to understand PLC systems is advantageousReed and understand electrical drawingsAbility to perform diagnostics and lead fault finding tasks is essentialKnowledge of Winders / conveyorsKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :
Plan, co-ordinate and supervise electrical maintenance activitiesGuide and assist Electricians with daily maintenance activitiesAnalyse and solve electrical problemsMaintain control of Electrical workshops, stores and main sub-stationsAttend to callouts with regards to electrical breakdownsAssist with fault finding of leaky feeder systemsCompilation of budget and overall cost controlPlan and organise the electrical maintenance including the management of all required spares and documentation of all electrical reticulation including all main HT substations so as to minimise breakdownsLead a maintenance team towards the achievement of regularly set goalsMHSA and Procedural compliance within specific roleLabour managementProblem solving and troubleshooting on all electrical and operational problemsPlan and co-ordinate ProjectsFamiliarise with quality management systems and standardsPerform standby and overtime duties when requestedMaintaining of discipline and good moraleOur people set us apart and make us a winning team we are excited to have someone new join our ranks.
