Job Summary
A medium‑sized services provider is urgently seeking an experienced, operational, hands‑on, yet commercially strong, Head of Finance to join their team in Durban, KZN. The role will start off as a contract role, with a minimum of 6 months, and will be ideally suited to an experienced person who is immediately available, or available shortly. The company has a lot of moving parts and will require an agile person who can adapt to circumstances as they change.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full financial responsibility for one of the Group Companies.
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision‑making.
- Manage financial relationships with banks, auditors, and institutions.
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
