Are you a Newly Qualified CA(SA) or an Audit Manager looking to step into a commercially focused, strategic role ? Our client, a leading organisation in the insurance sector , is seeking a bright and driven Business Performance Analyst (CA(SA)) to work closely with the Chief Operating Officers in driving business efficiency, operational excellence, and strategic performance improvement.

About the Role

As the Business Performance Analyst , you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the COO with the execution of key operational strategies. You’ll use data-driven insights, financial expertise, and commercial thinking to evaluate performance, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct data modelling, operational reporting, and performance analysis across departments.
  • Perform process and systems reviews , document findings, and propose optimisation strategies.
  • Support change management initiatives to embed efficiency and accountability.
  • Partner with business units to evaluate productivity, profitability, and risk .
  • Prepare and present executive-level insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Claims, Collections, Finance, IT, and Client Service teams.

Exposure Across the Business

  • Marketing : Analyse lead acquisition, digital performance, and resource allocation.
  • Sales : Evaluate productivity and database segmentation.
  • Claims : Review turnaround times, costs, and process optimisation.
  • Finance : Oversee cost centre performance, budget monitoring, and spend analysis.
  • Collections & Retentions : Identify key retention drivers and efficiency gaps.
  • Client Service & IT : Improve engagement frameworks and system integration.

    • About You

  • Qualified CA(SA) – essential .
  • Ideally Newly Qualified or with up to 2 years’ post-article experience .
  • Alternatively, a strong Audit Manager ready for a first move into commerce.
  • Highly analytical , commercially aware , and eager to understand how business operations drive results.
  • A self-starter who enjoys solving problems and driving performance improvement .
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or a data-driven environment is advantageous.
