Job descriptionCross Border Road Transport Controller with a minimum of 3 Years of experience Vast knowledge of Export documents (SAD500, VOC, RIT, ECO TERMS) Know your transporters and negotiate the best rates Computer Literate, intermediate to advanced skills in Excel Prepare daily tracking reports for clients and / or agents Ensure documents are sent to the border agencies timeously Tracking and monitoring of vehicles at all times in-house Prepare collection routes for drivers Weekly Load Planning Prepare documents of payments (PODS, INV, STATEMENTS) Ensuring loading of vehicles is done correctly. Supervise all loads and ensure the safety of cargo always Arrange goods to be returned if needed Follow up on vehicle delays, including border problems, till the truck is offloaded. Loading Instructions from clients, including making orders / maps for drivers to load, and ensuring vehicle details are sent to the client Managing fuel consumption Ensuring that constant contact and communication are maintained at all times with clients / suppliers / transporters Continuous communication, support, and guidance to be communicated to the driver
Desired Experience & Qualification :
- Minimum Matric (Grade 12)
- Diploma or degree in Logistics
- Sage (Evolution) knowledge will be an advantage
- Proven work experience in the position
- Negotiating skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Must be deadline-oriented
- Sage (evolution) knowledge will be an advantage
