Job descriptionBachelors or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required); Progress towards ECSA registration is a plus. 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in structural design and analysis. Proficiency in FEM software (e.g., Autodesk Robot, ETABS, Prokon, or equivalent). Solid understanding of local building codes, SANS standards, and construction practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Structural Draughtsman
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform structural analysis and design using finite element modelling techniques and software tools.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, and technical design specifications.
- Work alongside architects, engineers, draughtsmen and construction professionals to ensure the integrity, performance, and safety of structural systems.
- Conduct structural assessments and inspections during design and construction phases.
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Assist in resolving structural challenges during construction, offering practical and innovative solutions.
