Compensation : CTC R350,000.00 per annum
Working hours : Monday to Friday : 08h00 to 17h00
Job Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control processes within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all products meet company and regulatory standards, conducts inspections, manages non-conformances, and leads a team to maintain high-quality production. The supervisor will also be responsible for personnel management, customer service, reporting, and compliance with safety and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Control & Inspection
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of products, raw materials, and production processes.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company quality principles.
- Perform product testing and evaluations to confirm adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and document non-conformances, implementing corrective actions.
- Analyze and report statistical trends related to quality performance.
- Qualify measuring equipment and ensure accurate measurement techniques are applied.
2. Personnel Management
Lead, train, and motivate team members to achieve high performance.Manage attendance, timesheets, and disciplinary procedures as per company policies.Oversee production output, ensuring compliance with job specifications and machine parameters.Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.Promote a positive and productive work environment, recognizing contributions and addressing concerns effectively.3. Customer Service
Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to product quality.Work closely with internal sales and production teams to ensure customer expectations are met.4. Reporting & Administration
Conduct daily shift handover meetings to ensure seamless communication.Perform and document daily quality audits, visual inspections, and housekeeping assessments.5. Health & Safety Compliance
Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed in the workplace.Maintain clean and organized work areas and report any hazards.Document and report accidents, incidents, and near misses as per company policy.6. Food Safety System Certification (FSSC)
Implement and enforce food safety standards specific to the manufacturing site.Ensure compliance with the companys Food Safety Management System (FSMS).Report any food safety hazards to management.7. Self-Development & Growth
Continuously assess and improve skills by staying updated with industry standards.Undertake necessary training and development programs as required.8. General
