• Curro Holdings is seeking to appoint a primary school intermediate phase teacher at Curro Midrand in Midrand.

The role involves teaching and coordinating a range of subjects as per the Curro curriculum for the intermediate phase.

The teacher is responsible for the active teaching, knowledge transfer, skills development and growth of positive attitudes among learners through integrated and focused teaching approaches.Curro is an equal-opportunity employer, therefore preference will be given to EE candidates.Key performance areasPerform teaching duties, including planning lessons using modern-day tools and processes, setting up workbooks and measuring academic improvement and achievementReview, implement, monitor and adjust the term plan as necessary, including creating customised plans to support the class pace and available lessonsManage the classroom, including classroom design and set-up for optimal performance, disciplinary rules and communication with learners and parentsSet up and manage assessments (formal and continuous), including the assessment roster, revision packs and moderationPlan and manage homework per subject, including revisions and managing peer markingPlan and manage extramural activities and outingsQualifications, experience and skillsBEd and / or PGCE in intermediate phase teachingMinimum 2 years' experience as an intermediate phase teacherKnowledge of the CAPS curriculumProven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skillsExcellent communication, organisational and planning skillsWilling and able to work extended hoursProficient in Microsoft OfficeSACE-registeredClear criminal recordClosing date : 12 December
