Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lecture contact learning students in the following modules :
- Creative Design 3 (BCRD371)
- Visual Communication in Retail 2 (VCR262)
- Window Display Design 2 (VCR262)
- Perform the role and responsibilities of module coordinator (MC) for :
- Design Thinking (DT182)
- Creative Design 3 (BCRD371)
- Visual Communication in Retail 2 (VCR262)
- Window Display Design 2 (BWDD262)
- Use a learning management system independently and / or collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
- Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
- Complete grading for all modules.
- Conduct internal moderation for the following modules :
- Creative Design (BCRD151)
- Garment Construction 3 (BGRC371)
- Pattern Design 3 (BPTD371)
- Provide academic support to students.
- Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules.
- Participate in institutional research projects.
- Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the line manager.
- Undertake scholarly activities to continuously improve teaching and learning.
Requirements
Key Attributes :Strong creative design skills in the fashion design context; advanced skills in fashion illustration (traditional and digital).Creative mindset with novelty in problem-solving.Thorough understanding of pattern making and garment construction principles.Strong commercial understanding of the retail environment for visual design, display, and merchandising.Sound teaching and assessment skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational, time management, and coordination skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.High computer proficiency; knowledge of IT infrastructure and online learning platforms.
