We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Housekeeper , ready to step into the Director of Housekeeping role, to lead the hotels Rooms Division housekeeping operations. The successful candidate will take full ownership of guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations, and back-of-house housekeeping, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency across the hotel.
Critical Criteria (Requirements)
- Minimum 5 years senior leadership experience in luxury hotels (100+ rooms)
- Proven track record in budgeting, strategic planning, and operations management
- Advanced knowledge of Opera PMS and housekeeping systems (Omni, Trac Tech, etc.)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel proficiency essential)
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management preferred
- Exceptional people leadership and succession planning experience
- South African citizen with a valid ID

Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the housekeeping department, setting policies, procedures, and operational standards aligned with luxury brand expectationsOversee cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spacesManage laundry operations, linen, and housekeeping equipment inventory with preventative maintenance planningPrepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets, including CPOR metricsRecruit, train, and develop housekeeping staff, building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellenceDeliver accurate reports, uphold safety and hygiene standards, and ensure compliance with audits and SOPsCollaborate with Rooms Division and hotel management teams to support overall guest experience objectivesChampion operational initiatives to improve efficiency, sustainability, and service qualityPromote the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and IntegrityPackage on Offer
