Responsibilities

• Lecturing at undergraduate and / or postgraduate level;
• Supporting the SARCHi Chair in Just Energy Transition, including project management, research strategy, industry and policy engagement and skill development;
• Academic administration and management;
• Supervising postgraduate students;
• Participation in the Department’s strategic initiatives related to teaching, research, community engagement, and fundraising;
• Scientific research and publications in accredited academic journals.

PLEASE NOTE : As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to prepare and present a simulated lecture and / or technical report to a screening panel.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED / UMVUSO medical aid scheme and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
