We currently have 8 open Key Account Manager positions across various segments. These roles are responsible for managing strategic relationships and owning a portfolio of End Users at a geographic level through a solution-based sales approach to achieve sales objectives.

  • Key Account Manager – Energies & Chemical – Industry Automation – Southern Africa
  • Key Account Manager – MMM – Industry Automation (3 Positions)
  • Key Account Manager – Water & Environment – ESA
  • Key Account Manager – CPG – ESA
  • Key Account Manager – Building and C&SP – ESA
  • Key Account Manager – Eskom and Renewables – Southern Africa

What will you do?

  • Developing sustainable partnerships between Schneider Electric and assigned Key Accounts.
  • Defining and implementing growth strategies, and leading both National and Local KAMs across account sites in multiple countries.
  • Executing the sales process with a strong business solution focus to meet growth targets and ensure customer satisfaction, while selling the full scope of Schneider Electric’s offerings.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • KPIs

  • Customer Satisfaction (CSAT / NPS) : Measures the quality of the relationship and the impact of the solution.
  • Account Growth Rate : Tracks year-over-year revenue growth per account.
  • Share of Wallet : Measures Schneider Electric’s penetration within the client’s total spend.
  • Cross-Sell / Upsell Success Rate : Tracks the expansion of Schneider’s portfolio within accounts.
  • Sales Cycle Efficiency : Average time from opportunity identification to closure.
  • Digital Solution Adoption : Measures uptake of EcoStruxure, IoT, and automation platforms.
  • Innovation Index : Number of new solutions or approaches introduced to clients.
  • Strategic Initiative Execution Score : Tracks delivery of growth and transformation plans.
  • What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

  • Strategic Account Management : Proven ability to manage complex, high-value accounts with multiple stakeholders.
  • Industry Expertise : Deep understanding of the specific end-user segment structure, challenges, and transformation roadmap.
  • Commercial Acumen : Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and contract management skills.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with C-level executives, government bodies, and technical teams.
  • Project Leadership : Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and drive execution in a matrixed environment.
  • Digital Transformation Knowledge : Familiarity with Industry 4.0, IoT, and automation trends.
  • CRM Mastery – Deep understanding of pipeline management and forecasting tools.
  • What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field (minimum).
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in strategic key account management, business development, or sales within the end-user segment.
  • Expertise in complex deal structuring and long-term agreements.
