Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join either Muve or iCare , two of our key staffing and recruitment brands. In this role, you will ensure that all temporary healthcare workers including nurses, carers, and support staff meet mandatory compliance standards before deployment. This includes vetting documentation, verifying training, and maintaining up-to-date personnel records in line with CQC and sector-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Worker Vetting & Onboarding :

  • Review and verify mandatory documentation for all temp staff, including Right to Work, DBS checks, professional qualifications, references, and employment history.
  • Ensure that all staff have completed mandatory training (e.g. safeguarding, manual handling, infection control) prior to placement.
  • Maintain and update compliance files in accordance with internal policies and external regulations.

Database Management :

  • Accurately input and manage worker records in internal systems.
  • Track document expiry dates and proactively follow up on renewals (e.g. DBS, training certificates, visas).
  • Audit & Inspection Preparation :

  • Assist with internal audits and prepare documentation for external inspections from regulatory bodies such as the CQC or NHS frameworks.
  • Ensure the business is always audit-ready by maintaining real-time compliance.
  • Communication & Liaison :

  • Work closely with recruitment consultants, care coordinators, and operational teams to ensure only compliant workers are deployed to clients.
  • Act as a point of contact for compliance-related queries from internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Policy & Procedure Adherence :

  • Ensure adherence to GDPR and data protection standards when handling sensitive worker information.
  • Support the continuous improvement of compliance processes and policies.
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a compliance, vetting, or onboarding role preferably within healthcare staffing or recruitment.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in using compliance tracking systems, CRMs, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong sense of accountability.
