Have sound understanding of the fundamentals of accounting. Experience with Sage Evolution or Buildsmart. Must be organised, neat, tidy and punctual. Own transport essential.
Junior Accountant required in Stranger, Kwazulu Natal.
Our Client, a prominent Civils and Construction Concern based in North Coast, Stanger, KZN are hiring a Junior Accountant. Salary is most market related.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Processing of Journal into Sage Evolution and Buildsmart.
- Payroll journals, depreciation journals , raising assets acquired.
- Maintenance and updating of the Fixed Asset Register and Instalment Sale Register.
- Supplier account maintenance – following up on invoices not received, discounting accounts when required and assisting with supplier processing when required.
- Processing bank transactions directly from a bank statement daily and preparing a daily cash recon.
- Assist with the Audit process and gathering of supporting documentation.
- Assisting with the monthly preparation of monthly SARS submission ie. VAT, EMP and income taxation.
- Filing out of supplier application documentation.
