Job descriptionAdhere strictly to all health and safety requirements and protocols. Consistently utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during welding operations. Report any defective welds or equipment that may pose risks. Ensure that emergency exits are always clear. Maintain cleanliness in designated welding, bathroom, and eating areas. Properly pack away all equipment, chemicals, and tools used during tasks in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Safely file drawings after use. Meet daily time and attendance requirements, submitting relevant HR or production records to the direct manager as per deadlines. Comply with all HR-related policies and procedures. Healthy, positive, self-motivated, and driven. Methodical, systematic, and technically inclined. Energetic and analytically minded. Team player with sober habits. Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in MIG and TIG welding for aluminium boats. Qualification in MIG / TIG aluminium welding or equivalent certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Understanding and adherence to safety requirements in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of compliance with HSE and manufacturing standards. Ability to walk reasonable distances throughout the workday. Capability to safely climb ladders for welding tasks. Proficiency in lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects and materials. Comfort working in confined spaces for welding tasks. Competence in managing equipment and related items, including transportation and setup. Flexibility to adapt to varying physical demands typical in the welding and boat manufacturing environment. Ensure the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is utilized at all times. Ensure adherence to Health and Safety rules and regulations. Ensure adherence to the rules and regulations as documented within the company’s policies and code of conduct. Participate in flexibility training initiatives. Interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications. Prepare and weld structural components and machine parts using MIG, TIG and Arc welding methods. Measure, cut and fabricate metal components accurately. Operate cutting torches, plasma cutters and grinding tools. Repair broken or worn metal parts and reinforce components as needed. Ensure structural integrity of welded joints and comply with quality standards. Perform tack welding, final welding and surface finishing of welding products. Fit and assemble fabricated components in line with production needs. Inspect welding and fabrication work to ensure quality and safety compliance. Maintain and service welding machines and fabrication tools. Collaborate with mechanics and workshop personnel to support maintenance work. Ensure adherence to PPE and safety procedures during all tasks. Keep the fabrication area clean, safe and organized. Maintain accurate records of work performed and material used. Repair damaged container panels and re-fabricate container frames. Fabricate and repair super link trailer drop sides and supporting structures. Weld and fabricate H brackets, mushroom heads, and grabber claws. Fabricate grabber safety plates to reinforce operational safety. Custom-fabricate glass shields and protective panels for trucks and excavators. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks effectively. Be available for shift work, standby and overtime is essential.
