SUMMARY :

Our client is seeking to employ an architectural technologist with a high interest and experience in interior design. The candidate must have excellent CAD skills and Revit experience will be a bonus.

POSITION INFO :

Position : Architectural Technologist

Industry : Construction, Architecture

Location : Edenvale, Gauteng South Africa.

Salary : Market related .

Qualifications and Experience :

Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
5 years’ experience in the field of Architecture.
Must have site experience dealing with a variety of consultants.
Must be able to work under supervision of the Project and .
Create detailed technical drawings for specialized interior fit outs and architectural plans and layouts.
Must be able and comfortable dealing with local municipalities to get plans approved.

Skills and Knowledge :

AutoCAD.

Revit (Advantageous).

Excel, Word, Outlook.

PowerPoint.

Afrikaans & English speaking.

Responsibilities :

Compliance with all SANS10400 regulations.

Obtain site / stand / premises information.

Interior details and architectural drawings.

Finishing schedules.

Specification sheets.

Site inspections.

Site measurements and as-built drawings.

Project management and site organization with site instructions.

Obtaining relevant quotes for specific projects.

Meeting all potential contractors and sub-contractors.

Council documentation preparation.

Must be comfortable taking minutes of meetings with Contractors and supplier.

Collect Samples and compile client presentations.

Placing orders and checking of deliveries.

Assist with Budget preparations.

Confirm delivery installation dates.

Receive deliveries.
