Graphic Design Internship (Remote)

Studio Vanta is a Centurion-based design studio creating bold, functional digital experiences for startups, creators, and communities. We're looking for passionate, curious, and motivated graphic design students or recent graduates to join our 3-month internship programme. This internship is ideal for emerging designers looking to build real-world experience in branding, website design, and social media design, under the mentorship of an experienced designer.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity with flexible hours (6–10 hours/week), ideal for students needing practical experience while studying or freelancing.

Tasks

🌟 What You'll Learn

• Branding systems and identity design (logos, type, colour, brand kits)
• Website wireframes and visual design (using tools like Figma)
• Social media content creation and layout
• How to structure design presentations and pitch ideas

👩‍💻 What You'll Do

• Assist in developing brand and web design concepts
• Create mockups, layouts, and design assets for social platforms
• Shadow real client projects and participate in creative reviews
• Receive weekly feedback and mentorship
• Collaborate asynchronously with the team via Slack, Figma, Notion, or similar tools

Requirements

🕒 Time Commitment

• 6–10 hours per week (flexible schedule)
• 3-month internship, with possible extension based on learner's interest

🎯 Requirements

• You’re a current design student or recent graduate (graphic/digital/communication/UI/UX design)
• Good eye for layout, typography, and colour
• Eager to learn, open to feedback, and reliable
• Must have own laptop
• South Africa only

💻 Tools You'll Use:

We primarily use Figma and Canva, both are free to use. If you already have access to Adobe (through school or personal license), you’re welcome to use it, but it’s not required.
