What you will be doing

You will be the account manager and hiring partner for a portfolio of companies that hire through Jobox. After our Business Development team brings them in, you will take over the relationship, onboard them, help them post strong job opportunities on the platform and support them through their first few placements.

Your goal is to make sure they have a great experience, see clear value in using Jobox and continue hiring with us. You will also keep relationships warm between programmes so we always have employers ready to participate in upcoming placement opportunities. This is a relationship‑driven, client‑facing role that is focused on building trust and helping employers succeed on Jobox.

Where you will fit in

You will report to the Head of Customer Success and work closely with the Programme Associate, who oversees programme delivery and timelines. You will also collaborate with the Student Success team, who source and vet candidates for employer opportunities. Together, you will ensure every company hiring through Jobox has a seamless experience from onboarding and posting roles to successful placement and ongoing engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of employer accounts, ensuring they feel supported and confident using Jobox.
  • Take handovers from Business Development, lead onboarding calls, and set clear expectations around timelines and outcomes.
  • Build trust and long‑term relationships through consistent communication, proactive problem‑solving, and high‑quality engagement.
  • Keep all client information, notes and actions updated in HubSpot, because accurate data is key to collaboration.
  • Account Management and Employer Success

  • Help employers create strong company profiles and post meaningful roles that attract quality candidates.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for recruitment, candidate engagement, and onboarding through Jobox.
  • Run regular check‑ins to understand hiring plans, identify challenges early, and ensure continued satisfaction.
  • Capture and share insights or trends from employers to improve our platform, communication, and placement processes.
  • Strategic Recruitment Partnership (Day‑to‑Day)

  • Act as a hiring partner for employers, aligning their needs with the candidate pipeline managed by the Student Success team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Programme Associate to ensure employers are prepared and available for upcoming funded programmes.
  • Share market insights, hiring data, and youth employment trends to help employers make informed decisions.
  • Commercial Outcomes

  • Own the relationship from trial to long‑term partnership; your success is measured by employer satisfaction, retention, and continued hiring activity.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion or re‑engagement with past employers.
  • Monitor and report on key account health metrics such as employer engagement, placement activity, and renewal rates.
  • Deliver a consistently high‑quality experience that strengthens Jobox’s reputation and drives measurable results.
  • Tools and Systems

  • Primary Tools : HubSpot (our CRM), G‑Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets).
  • Our Platform : You will become an expert on the Jobox platform itself.
  • Must‑Have Experience

  • 2‑3+ years of proven experience in a client‑facing, commercial role such as account manager, customer success, or sales.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a portfolio of 30+ client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in managing trial periods, driving conversions, and retaining clients.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills. You are empathetic, professional, and build trust easily.
  • Tech‑savvy with hands‑on experience using a CRM (like HubSpot).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Nice‑to‑Have Experience

  • Experience in recruitment, youth employment, education, or social impact programmes.
  • Exposure to SETA‑funded or other national skills development programmes.
  • Previous work in a startup, SaaS, or technology‑driven environment.
  • Familiarity with the South African higher education and labour market ecosystem.
  • Requirements

  • High digital literacy and willingness to learn new tools quickly.

  • Works closely with : Student Success Team and Programme Associate (primary counterparts), Business Development, Leadership, Operations, and Product & Engineering teams.
