Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and driven Stewardship Professional to help execute OMIG’s Sustainability and Stewardship strategy. The role’s primary focus is to support the implementation of OMIG’s Listed Equity Stewardship Programme, ensuring that our stewardship practices reflect the highest standards of responsible investment. This includes leading engagements with listed companies, driving proxy voting, and advancing ESG practices that promote long‑term value creation.
You will report to the Head of Sustainability and form part of OMIG’s Sustainability and Stewardship Office, contributing to research, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership on responsible investment and corporate governance.
What You’ll Be Trusted With
- Use research and analysis of company ESG practices and thematic sustainability issues to drive proactive stewardship strategies.
- Contribute to OMIG’s thought leadership on stewardship‑related topics and sustainability themes.
- Support the development, update, and publication of OMIG’s Responsible Investment (RI) and Stewardship policies.
- Collaborate with internal investment teams and boutiques to align stewardship priorities and share ESG insights.
- Partner with external stakeholders, clients, consultants, and media on stewardship‑related communication.
- Manage stewardship expectations and reporting for internal and external clients, fostering transparency and trust.
- Record proxy voting decisions and engagement activities diligently on OMIG’s stewardship platform.
- Support annual and client‑specific reporting on stewardship outcomes and ESG progress.
- Deliver excellence in research, analysis, and communication, ensuring the consistent quality of stewardship deliverables.
Who You Are
You are a purpose‑driven professional who is passionate about sustainability, governance, and long‑term impact. You combine analytical rigour with strong communication and influencing skills and thrive in a role where you can make a tangible difference through thought leadership and collaboration.
You bring :
A Postgraduate qualification in Corporate Governance, Law, Sustainability, Corporate Finance, or related field.Preferably an Honours or MSc with a business, finance, investments, legal, or environmental focus.At least 7 years’ experience in an analyst, corporate governance, or stewardship role.Strong knowledge of Responsible Investment frameworks (UN PRI, CRISA, Regulation 28) and sustainability practices.Experience in investment management, ESG advisory, or corporate sustainability (advantageous).CFA Level 1 or higher (advantageous).Excellent public speaking, negotiation, writing, and presentation skills.Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.The Strengths You’ll Bring
