Job description

Established since c1989, Our client is a specialist supplier and processor of silicone sealants and consumables to the window and allied trades. They are well respected by customers and suppliers alike and are very proud of their 4.9 / 5 google reviews! Due to a retirement, they have a rare opportunity within their sales team for an experienced proactive Telephone-Based Business Development Executive to help grow their customer base and drive repeat sales across the UK.

The Role :

You’ll be responsible for generating new business and developing existing relationships with window fitters, fabricators, installers, as well as other trades. Working remotely by phone, you will promote their specialist product range (with a focus on silicone sealants and consumables) to trade prospects and convert leads into loyal customers. Its very much repeat business so providing you retain and develop existing customers whilst bringing onboard new ones, your sales and earnings will grow. It’s a substantial but competitive market with lots of business to be won and fought over

Salary :   USD$22 000 per annum ($1833 per month) + Uncapped Commission (realistic 1st year earning of c$26 000)

Type of Work :  Full-time remote

Work Schedule :  UK working hours

Key Responsibilities :

  • Make outbound calls to window trade professionals and introduce our range of sealants and consumables
  • Understand trade customer needs and recommend appropriate products (e.g., low modulus silicones, glazing sealants, adhesives)
  • Follow up on warm leads and re-engage dormant accounts
  • Close sales directly or arrange call-backs and quotes as needed
  • Maintain a detailed and up-to-date CRM of all interactions and opportunities
  • Meet and exceed KPIs including call targets, lead conversions, and monthly revenue
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge, market trends, and competitors
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless buying experience

Requirements

  • In depth background in a remote set-up of work similar to freelancing as an Independent Contractor (deep understanding on the pros & cons involved in this industry).
  • Proven experience in telephone-based sales or business development (B2B) ideally selling physical products.
  • Ideally experience of working remotely for a UK or US based company.
  • Knowledge of the window / glazing / fenestration trade is highly desirable however not essential.
  • Familiarity with silicone sealants and related trade consumables is a strong advantage but full product training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Confident, enthusiastic clear, and professional phone manner.
  • Strong relationship builder – able to gain trust and repeat business from trade customers.
  • Good objection handling skills and the ability to recognize opportunities.
  • Target-driven with a self-motivated attitude
  • Organised and comfortable using CRM or sales tracking software
  • Confident and competent user of I.T. capable of switching seamlessly from one internet tab to another (you may have up to 6 tabs open at any one time).
  • Your Set up (including equipment)

  • We provide access to a virtual workspace whereby you can communicate and interact with you other co-workers easily. In terms of your physical space, your location must afford privacy to you and our customers and needs to be a separate room.
  • Your internet connection speed and reliability IS VITAL to support your success in this role. There are 6 internet based software programs that you will need to be logged in to at any one time. You need a minimum of 43Mbps upload and a ping of 50ms or lower. Ideally your connection should be 100+Mbps with a ping of 25ms or less and a jitter of under 10 ms.
  • You will need to provide evidence of how you will maintain the internet performance as outlined above during times of power outage.
  • You will need 2 screens.
  • Your laptop or PC must be running on Windows 11 Pro and you will be required to upgrade you operating system in line with the company’s policy.
  • Your PC or laptop will need to have the following specs :
  • Processor : Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 processors are the minimum, although i7 or i9 models are preferable.

    RAM : at least 8 GB of RAM, but preferably 16 GB or more.

    You will need a headset and maybe an external speaker. Help will be given to determine requirements.

    We will require you to provide a results screenshot from Speed Test Plus : Internet Speed & Quality to ensure that you can meet our internet requirements.
